VROOR Terms & Conditions
(Standard Form Contract for Passenger Vehicle Rental Services)
These Terms and Conditions constitute a standard form contract between you (hereinafter referred to as the “Lessee”) and Yong Yi Leasing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Lessor”) governing the provision of passenger vehicle rental services.
Article 1 | Nature of ServicesThe Company is legally authorised to operate a passenger vehicle rental business in Taiwan and provides self-drive vehicle rental services without a driver.
The services provided are not taxi services, not passenger transport services, and do not constitute commercial transportation operations.
Article 2 | Eligibility of LesseeThe Lessee must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 20 years of age
- Hold a valid Taiwan driver’s licence or an international driving permit legally recognised for use in Taiwan
- Successfully complete identity and document verification conducted by the Lessor in accordance with applicable laws
Article 3 | Vehicle Delivery and InspectionPrior to delivery, the Lessor shall ensure that the vehicle is in safe and roadworthy condition.
The Lessee shall inspect and confirm the vehicle condition at the time of pick-up.
The vehicle registration certificate and rental documents must be kept in the vehicle at all times for inspection by competent authorities.
Article 4 | Rental Fees and Payment
Rental fees shall be calculated in accordance with the agreed rental plan and duration.
The Lessee shall make payment within the agreed time frame.
If the Lessee fails to make payment as agreed, the Lessor may terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle.
Article 5 | Obligations in Vehicle UseThe Lessee shall:
- Exercise due care as a prudent administrator when using the vehicle
- Comply with all applicable road traffic laws and regulations
- Not sublease, lend, or transfer the vehicle to any third party
- Not use the vehicle for illegal purposes
- Not engage in passenger transport services or any form of unauthorised commercial operation
Article 6 | Insurance and AccidentsThe Lessor shall obtain compulsory automobile liability insurance in accordance with Taiwan law.
In the event of an accident, the Lessee shall immediately notify the Lessor.
Any damage not covered by insurance shall be borne by the Lessee in accordance with applicable laws and the rental agreement.
Article 7 | Traffic Violations and Liability for DamageAny traffic violations incurred during the rental period shall be the sole responsibility of the Lessee.
If the vehicle is damaged due to the Lessee’s negligence or improper use, the Lessee shall be liable for compensation.
Article 8 | Termination of ContractIf the Lessee commits a breach of contract, provides false information, or engages in serious improper use of the vehicle, the Lessor may terminate the agreement and pursue appropriate legal remedies.
Article 9 | Governing Law and JurisdictionThese Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Taiwan.
The Shilin District Court of Taiwan shall have jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
